Program Opportunities:

2018 Human Animal Interaction-Collaborative Honors Program: This exciting collaborative research program between Washington State University and Colorado State University is available only to sophomore and junior Honors students and is designed to mentor and support honors students from WSU and CSU in Human-Animal Interaction (HAI) research teams composed of participating faculty/staff/students from both universities to further the field of HAI. Desired applicants have the ability to work well in groups/teams, can work independently, is committed to completion of a project, is open and responsive to feedback and possesses the willingness to learn new tasks/skills/concepts. 1 student from each school will be accepted. Applications are accepted beginning September 1; rolling deadline; applicants reviewed as received. CSU Pets Forever: Would you like to gain animal-related care and handling skills, serve the elderly and disabled in a meaningful and appreciated way, gain valuable community service and have fun and earn college credit at the same time? Then register for the CSU course VS410: Pets Forever. This 3-credit course is offered either on Tuesdays from 9-9:50 am or Wednesdays from 12-12:50 pm. Pets Forever is a non-profit, CSU affiliated program offered through the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. Our mission is to help low-income elderly and disabled Larimer County residents maintain ownership of their pets for as long as possible. We do this by providing support and resources including: help with dog walking, cage cleaning, litter box maintenance, bathing, nail trimming, transport to veterinary and grooming visits, and more. Denver Urology Clinic Seeks Employee: The Denver Urology Clinic is seeking a full-time medical assistant for a busy urology clinic with multiple surgeons. The hours are typically M-F 8am-4:30pm. Duties include: Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, assisting in office procedures, blood draws, referrals, prior authorizations, other back office tasks, as well as occasional front desk check in. No Previous medical experience is required as we are willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for somebody who can start as soon as possible. Requirements include a long-term commitment (minimum 12 months), a strong desire to lean about the medical field and a positive attitude and the ability to work as a team member. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and a bilingual spanish-speaking individual would be highly valued.
