Opportunities for Pre-Vet Students:

If you have ever wanted to be a vet, or have any interest in working with both dogs and cats this may be the place for you! Spay/Neuter Clinic Volunteers may work as a Surgical Assistant or Vaccine Assistant. Responsibilities include animal handling, aiding patient recovery, preparing medications and surgical packs, and cleaning and sanitizing instruments.
This is a great place to volunteer or intern if you have ever been interested in the medical or healthcare side of animal ownership. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to help at the clinic. Please email the Volunteer Program Administrator if you're interested: ryann@fccrsnc.org.
Here is a detailed recruitment appeal for Intakes: Intake volunteers at FCCRSNC assist in our Foster & Transfer Program Administrator with the necessary steps a new cat must go through in order to be admitted to our shelter. Responsibilities include cat and kitten handling, performing intake exams on cats and kittens, de-worming, micro-chipping, and lime dipping.
