Virtual U-Turn
Students attend U-Turn to seek guidance and support for challenges they are experiencing that negatively affect their academics. Volunteer navigators will meet with students for 30 minutes to brainstorm resources the students can utilize to improve their academic performance. Navigators will also assist the student in creating an Action Plan for success. Additionally, virtual campus resources such as CSU Health Network and Office of Financial Aid will be available at the event. Learn more here.

The President's Leadership Program (PLP)/Interdisciplinary Leadership Studies Minor applications are now open
This program is looking for current students for a summer online course and RI courses for next academic year. Students must apply in order to participate in PLP and earn an Interdisciplinary Leadership Studies Minor. In an effort to erode barriers for students wanting to earn the minor, summer asynchronous online IU 170 & 171 courses have been added. There’s a special summer application for any student who has not had ANY PLP/Leadership Minor courses. This is a great course for first-year students going into their second year who want to learn more about leadership theory. There is no GPA or major requirement to apply. Classes are Tuesdays 4-6pm or 6-7pm. Learn more, and apply here and/or attend one of the info sessions linked below.

Colorado Academy of Physician Assistants (CAPA) Pre-PA Info Session
This session is free and open to all pre-PA students in Colorado or who are interested in Colorado PA programs. The session will be led by a practicing PA from the CAPA board and students from each of the four Colorado PA programs. The following topics will be covered: the role of PAs in healthcare, the application process, general application requirements and what it's like to be a PA and PA Student! Register here.

AAMC (American Association of Medical Colleges) Webinar: Learn about the 2021 AAMC Fee Assistance Program
The AAMC Fee Assistance Program assists those who, without financial assistance, would be unable to apply to medical schools. Attendees will learn how medical school applicants can save over $2,000 through the Fee Assistance Program. This webinar will include the 2021 Fee Assistance Program benefits, eligibility requirements, and application process. There will be time for questions and answers. Register here.

Yale Physician Assistant (PA) Online Program Webinar
Yale School of Medicine (YSM) is advancing the physician assistant (PA) profession by educating the highly proficient PAs the country needs. As the nationwide shortage of primary care physicians grows, YSM is bringing more health care practitioners to patients with Yale’s blended physician assistant program. Yale’s PA Online Program awards a Master of Medical Science (MMSc) degree and prepares graduates to seek licensure as physician assistants. The Yale PA Online Program prepares patient-focused clinicians who can choose to learn in their own communities. The program blends online classes and coursework with in-person clinical rotations and three immersions on the Yale campus, so students can earn a degree from YSM without relocating. Pawsibilities in Vet Med
This nonprofit organization is dedicated to the recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups into the veterinary profession. Pawsibilities aims to connect individuals from underrepresented backgrounds interested in the veterinary field to mentors, resources, and opportunities for professional development. Upon completing an introductory training, members gain access to web and mobile platforms, which include a network of mentors and advisors, as well as real-time and recorded webinars to help them build a variety of professional skills. Pharmacy Admissions Specialists provide support to pharmacists, nursing staff, and physicians by gathering and recording a valid home medication list. The responsibilities include interviewing patients and family members, gathering information to compile accurate medication lists, communicating with pharmacies, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, assisting in identifying and resolving patient safety issues related to medication use, and recording information in the patients’ health record. This job is PRN with variable days and hours. Pay range starts at $17.19, based on experience, and employees are eligible for an annual bonus. PRN employees are also paid a differential. This particular position is listed in Loveland at Medical Center of the Rockies; however, this flex position will provide support for Medical Center of the Rockies and Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins primarily (occasionally Greeley Hospital if available).
