TiLT Tutoring Programs for Spring 2021
Drop-in tutoring will be held in Zoom on Sundays-Thursdays from 6-9pm beginning Sunday January 24th. Tutor review sessions will be held twice a week in 50-minute sessions beginning Sunday February 14th. The tutors will prepare and facilitate activities that reinforce learning of topics covered in class.  These sessions will be structured similarly to the tutoring cohorts we offered during the fall semester, however this spring, we will not have an attendance requirement and instead allow students to come whenever they need support most. Spring Involvement Expo
Adding more areas of engagement, the Involvement Expo will be presented on Flipgrid, RamLink, and Instagram Takeover leveraging both synchronous and asynchronous options to reach a variety of students. By connecting with Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) and University departments, you can leave your mark at CSU through student organization and discover the services offered to you. The Involvement Expo is a great way to think big, get involved, and Do Something CSU.

This webinar will review important dates, policies, resources, and updates, including how COVID-19 has impacted the admissions process. Attendees will hear from two AMCAS Advisory Committee members, a pre-health advisor and admissions officer, who will share their perspectives on the cycle, including how the pandemic has impacted experiences and alternative grading, and offer their recommendations for applicants. The University of Michigan Frankel CVC Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program applications are now open
The 2021 FCVC SURF program is expected to run between June and August, but exact program dates and format will be forthcoming. Each student will be matched, based on their interests, to a laboratory that is led by a FCVC faculty member. This collection of laboratories is involved in internationally recognized research in topics such as atherosclerosis, genetic cardiomyopathies, blood clotting disorders, cardiac arrhythmias, vascular biology, and heart failure. The stipend will be $4,000 for ten weeks of full-time work, typically starting the Tuesday after Memorial Day and ending the first week of August (exact program dates pending). The program includes scientific seminars, social events, and a two-day research symposium where fellows present their research to their peers and FCVC faculty and staff. Learn more, and apply here.
