CSU Events & Opportunities

Gerontology Club

Gerontology Club aims to staff student volunteers at Columbine Health facilities on a weekly basis. We are looking for volunteers to assist with conversation, crafts and activities (especially Bingo!) on Wednesday afternoons throughout this Spring semester. We will also have club member volunteers help prepare activity materials ahead of time, so even if the Wednesday volunteer slots don’t work, people can still contribute. The club plans to meet monthly to discuss aging-related topics and provide guidance and tips for interacting with older adults in a meaningful way. Club members and volunteers are encouraged to sign up for one or more volunteer shifts throughout the semester. We hope the opportunities for intergenerational connections and conversations will be a much-needed morale boost to residents and students alike.

First meeting: February 23, 2022 | 7-8pm | Contact (Sarah.Cromwell@colostate.edu) if you are interested
