IE 352C Study Abroad: international Medical Shadowing in Croatia is being postponed from January 2022 to January 2023 due to the covid-19 pandemic. Learn more about the program here.

Interview Workshops – SAVE THE DATE! 
Health Professions Advising and the Career Center are once again teaming up to provide health professions students (human and veterinary) with two fall Interview Workshops. We will share a short presentation about best practices for interviewing, how to prepare for interviews, and special considerations regarding virtual interviews. The first workshop will take place virtually on Zoom (see below).

Suggested Fall Courses

HES 420 - EKG Interpretation
This class takes students through a logical step-by-step process to interpret EKGs that are common practice in clinical and research settings. The class includes cardiovascular anatomy, the electrical conduction system, the various views of the heart shown in a 12-lead EKG, how to identify ischemia, myocardial infarction, and arrhythmias. These skills are necessary for anyone wanting to set themselves apart from their peers when applying for internships, graduate school, health professions programs, and jobs. 

Spanish for Animal Health and Care. The certificate consists of 4 courses and takes 2 academic years to complete. The two courses offered this fall that count toward the minor or the certificate. LSPA 340 Spanish for Animal Health and Care Fields, and LSPA 343 Spanish Terminology-Animal Health/Agriculture both are offered in a hybrid format.

Hosted by the University of Colorado School of Medicine, this event will include high-caliber speakers presenting innovative and relevant medical topics geared towards an audience of ski patrollers, search & rescue specialists, agency personnel, and other prehospital responders. You can pay $50 to attend this event in person or $25 to attend virtually.
