Colorado Medical Group Management Association Webinar: Cultural Competency, Guard Against Implicit Bias in Patient Care
Implicit biases contribute to healthcare disparities experienced by various patient populations. Concern about a widening gap of healthcare disparities raises questions about healthcare decisions for certain patients, or patient groups, and how these may contribute to less-than-optimal outcomes. Since negative patient outcomes have the potential to result in professional negligence allegations and liability, this session will discuss implicit biases, or the unconscious attitudes and stereotypes, and the negative impact these can have on healthcare. It will provide strategies to protect against implicit biases that can affect how one patient is treated over another. Learn more, and register here.
