Health Professions Advising VIRTUAL Interview Workshops
This workshop is designed for any student applying to a human (MD/DO, Pharmacy, Dentistry, PT, OT, etc) or animal (Veterinary) program. The first hour will cover basic information: types of interviews, what to wear, how to prepare, tips for virtual interviews, etc. The second half will be a practice session. While everyone is welcome, the workshops are geared to students who are applying this year. We will conduct the workshops virtually over Zoom (link here and on the calendar on our homepage).

2021 MCAT Testing Calendar is now available
Beginning in January, the MCAT will return to it's traditional length. Each exam day will offer two full-length exam sessions at 7:30am and 3:00pm to comply with COVID-19 public health guidelines. Registration opens at noon ET on Tuesday November 10th. You can view the registration and scheduling page here.

New Class! VS301: Human-Animal Interactions
This is a new undergraduate, online course for students from any discipline to learn more about the field of human-animal interaction research. The course will explore various topics and current research related to human-animal interactions such as: the benefits of animal assisted interventions, how to assess animal behavior, ethics of animal research, animal welfare and rights, homelessness and pet ownership, and more. The course will include presentations and writings by various faculty and content experts with weekly synchronous class discussions (Weds 3-4MT). Global Pre-Meds Shadowing
Applications are now open for Winter Break 2020 and Summer Break 2021 Programs. This company has spent this unusual summer working with carefully selected hospitals and public health specialists to develop a fully COVID-safe residential program that allows students to get that all-important clinical experience without putting themselves or others at risk. In the hospitals, students receive the same protections as health professionals, with full American-standard PPE provided as part of the program and continuous direct supervision from a medical doctor. All students live for the two-week program in the protective bubble of our specialist guest house, and are further separated into groups of four for social and shadowing purpose. Canine Volunteers Needed for Study Involving a Vaccine to Prevent Cancer
The Flint Animal Cancer Center at Colorado State University is currently seeking dogs for a multi-center, randomized, placebo-controlled trial of a preventative vaccine for cancer, the Vaccine Against Canine Cancer Study (VACCS). This study is seeking healthy dogs 5.5-11.5 years old, mixed-breed/select purebred dogs, must have been seen by a veterinarian in the last 12 months, and you will need to provide 3 years of medical records from your regular veterinarian. Your dog will receive numerous benefits including a 50/50 chance of receiving a vaccine that could reduce their likelihood of developing cancer in the future. Vet Teaching Hospital (VTH) Foal Care Team is seeking pre-vet volunteers
Do you want to get more hands-on experience with horses and learn how foals are cared for in the ICU? Join the 2021 Foal Care Team and learn what goes on behind the scenes in the equine neonatal ICU at the VTH. We're looking for experienced senior undergraduate students interested in helping out alongside the veterinary students to help monitor foals in the ICU at the VTH. This is a great resume-building experience and a unique opportunity to spend more time at the VTH. The 2021 team will begin watching foals in January and continue until the end of the semester. Each team member will be assigned to one shift on a specific day of the week, every other week. Each shift is 3 hours long. Shifts will run from 4pm to 7am on weekdays, and for a full 24 hours on weekends. You will only be required to come in when there is a foal in the hospital.
