Health Professions Advising is now offering drop-in advising on Tuesdays 1-3pm. These are quick 5-10 minute appointments for short, time-sensitive questions only. Check-in at the Collaborative for Student Achievement front desk and indicate you’re here for Health Professions Advising drop-ins.

Join Campus Connections
Campus Connections is a multidisciplinary service-learning course (HDFS 470A) that involves mentoring at-risk youth referred through the juvenile justice system, schools, and community agencies. CSU students enrolled in Campus Connections are paired with a youth ages 10-18 years and provide one-on-one mentoring for 12 weeks.Check out the Campus Connections website for more information.Contact us at: Campusconnectionsrecruitment@gmail.com. Low-Cost LSAT and GRE courses at CSU  
Interested in going to GRAD school, but can't afford to pay $1200+ for LSAT or GRE prep classes? There will be another set of low-cost, high quality, LSAT and GRE prep courses offered at CSU (open to non-students as well). You can apply for the courses (and see testimonials, etc.) at campusprep.org. Campus Prep has built a reputation around the country for helping students get great point gains for little cost (for the last 10 years). BIOM382A Prosthetic Innovation Education Abroad Program in Quito, Ecuador
Work with amputees to identify accessibility and resource issues. Gain hands-on experience in the design and fabrication of a prosthesis, including in a 3D lab. Develop cultural knowledge of a developing country. Applications were due February 15th, but there may still be space. CSU Master's in Toxicology *Updated dates and times
This master's degree can be a step for pre-health students who need some academic enhancement to become more competitive candidates for health professions programs. Attend the open house on Friday February 28th 10am-1:30pm to meet current students in the program, learn about the application process, and tour the facilities. Georgesquared Advanced Biomedical Sciences Certificate
Enhance your preparation for a career in medicine, dentistry or other health professions.  The program is taught and administered by faculty from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and George Mason University. Coursework is delivered at the state-of-the-art Science and Technology Campus of George Mason University in Manassas, Virginia with anatomy labs taught at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. Find more information here

Global Pre-Meds Doctor Shadowing - Dominican Republic
Global Pre-Meds is a hospital shadowing program for pre-health students. Limited spaces are still available for two- and four-week residential programs in Dominican Republic this summer - applications close March 21st. St. George School of Medicine offering April start
In keeping with this tradition of innovation and improvement, and our focus on student success, we are pleased to announce that the School of Medicine is offering an April start for the 4-year MD program in Grenada.The inaugural April cohort will begin on April 8, 2020. We are confident that this new entry point will offer students additional flexibility, while still extending the same support and services enjoyed by all of our students. Also, every student who enrolls in the April 2020 class will receive an Inaugural April Class Grant of $25,000, in addition to any other scholarships they may be qualified to receive. University of Michigan Molecular and Integrative Physiology
Beginning in the Fall term, this program is designed for students who wish to earn an M.S. degree and plan, after program completion, to pursue one of the following:
-Application to a health profession's program such as medicine, dentistry, physician assistant, or physical therapy
-Application to a doctoral degree-granting program
-Employment in a research laboratory in academia or industry or other related profession

St. George’s University School of Medicine Funded Trip
See SGU is a unique program that offers students an opportunity to visit St. George's University, speak to faculty and students and see where they will be living while they start their medical training. Pet First Aid Day with Student Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society (SVECC) CSU Chapter

Test Prep with JoVE
While traditional exam prep courses focus on the methodology of test taking, the Pre-Health Playlist focuses on helping students understand the most important concepts. With video, students are able to visualize concepts in a way that text alone cannot achieve, helping them to draw connections between theory and practice. Students can review the material in total, or select areas where they need more help with. Find more information here
