Save the Date and Reminders:

Health Professions Interview Workshops
In conjunction with Career Services, Health Professions Advising will offer two interview workshops during the fall 2019 semester. The workshops will cover basis interview information including types of interviews, how to prepare and overall tips.
The first workshop will be Thursday, September 5th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the Stadium, room 1205. The second workshop will be in early November  - date to be announced soon. The workshops will assist students in all health professions areas to best prepare for interviews.

AACOM is pleased to announce that Thursday, May 2nd marks the opening of the 2020 AACOMAS Application! Students may submit their application as early as Thursday, and the last day for submitting a primary application for the 2020 Cycle will be April 10, 2020. Medical schools will begin to receive applicant data from AACOMAS on Friday, June 14, 2019. Opportunities for Pre-Human Health Students:

Limited summer opportunities exist to observe health care professionals in action via tours and shadowing at one of the nation’s top hospitals, the University of Colorado Hospital on the CU Anschutz Medical Campus, just east of Denver.  Please contact Dr. Jarvis if you are interested, catherine.jarvis@ucdenver.edu

Camp Promise-Rockies Volunteers
Camp Promise-East is an overnight camp for kids, teens, and adults with muscular dystrophy and select neuromuscular diseases. Available positions include: (1) one-on-one counselors to provide personal care and assist with daily activities (2) program staff (photographers, camp newspaper, computers, science, sports, drama, music etc.) and (3) medical staff (licensed nurses, doctors, etc.). Camp is August 5-9 (volunteers arrive August 4th) in Georgetown, CO. Application deadline is May 13, 2019.

Opportunities for Pre-Vet Students:

All Aboard Animal Rescue Volunteers
Volunteers help run our weekly adoption events located at Petco (2211 S College Ave #200) on Saturdays from 9AM-2PM. It's a great way to gain animal experience, volunteer experience and give some love to some dogs in need.
If you want to volunteer, you need to complete a volunteer packet. Please contact aaarvolunteercoordinator@gmail.com for the packet or any questions.
