Denver Startup Week (September 14-18)
Denver Startup Week is a virtual, week-long event. The Career Center has planned two informational sessions to help students navigate the event. The first session will review how to register for Denver Startup Week, best practices for navigating the different tracks, and tips for engaging and networking in a virtual space. The second session will review best practices for following up with employers that students made connections with during Denver Startup Week.

Diversity in Medicine: Virtual Event
Tour for Diversity in Medicine (T4D) seeks to increase the number of minority healthcare providers by using the experiences and advising of current minority physicians, dentists, pharmacists, and medical students to help high school and undergraduate students along the educational pipeline to health professions school. Founded by former medical student leaders, T4D is a grassroots effort to educate, inspire, and cultivate future minority physicians and dentists.The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine are teaming up with T4D to offer this virtual event. CU Anschutz Virtual Pre-Health Day
Interested in a career in the health professions? A virtual visit to CU Anschutz with live interactive sessions with program representatives will teach you about all the fields in which you are interested. This include dental medicine, public health, graduate programs, nursing, pharmacy, physician assistant, anesthesiologist assistant, physical therapy and medicine. Learn more, and register here.

Creighton University Phoenix Campus - new OTD and PharmD Programs
These programs are now accepting applications for the Fall 2021 cohort. Creighton is a Jesuit, Catholic university with a long history of excellence in health sciences education. The opening of the programs in fall 2021 will coincide with the completion of the 183,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art campus in Park Central in midtown. The campus will accommodate nearly 900 students, including future occupational therapists, pharmacists, physical therapists, physicians, nurses and physician assistants. The OTD and PharmD programs are hybrid models, which means students can view lectures online at their preferred times, while lab components will be completed on campus. Students will also enjoy access to the affiliated health systems for hands-on learning and real-world experience. With a dedication to whole-person care, modern labs and expert faculty, Creighton graduates will be well-prepared to enter the growing market in Phoenix. Learn more here.
